Hello, we're Wayne & David and welcome to our home, The Old Presbytery and we're lucky to live in one of the most beautiful places in France with our two Airedale Terriers Sherlock and Mrs Hudson. We are committed to helping our guests travel sustainably, whether by generating our own solar energy or by partnering with other like-minded producers and B Corp suppliers. We are dog friendly (of course) and welcome children 18 years and over. We proudly support LGBTQ+ travel.

The Old Presbytery is a lovingly restored 18th century stone Presbytère with stunning views over orchards and vineyards towards the Dordogne River and the bastide town of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande. We're only 1 hour drive from Bordeaux and 30 minutes from Bergerac and ideally located to explore the Bordeaux wine region. We are committed to helping our guests travel sustainably and believe the world will be a better place if we all tread lightly on the planet. To help us achieve this we aim to be fully sustainable with solar energy during the summer season. We source all our food and drink locally where possible and what’s not eaten we compost. We avoid single use plastic bottles and straws. We give each guest a free reusable water bottle and provide free filtered tap water and we use eco friendly bathroom products. We have a high speed EV charger. Our 10 x 5 metre pool is heated and salt treated. It is also equipped with a counter current swimming machine. We have four electric bikes, which are free to use, and maps of the local area for you to explore. We are also on the Chemin de Compostelle route if you fancy a longer trek. Or a spot of pool in our games room? Our gym is located in a converted pigsty and is equipped with an infrared sauna that is both relaxing and restorative and you're welcome to join us for yoga! Or simply relax by the pool or under our 300 yr old Lebanese cedar trees and enjoy the view! We have a small healthy and delicious food menu that is available 4 nights a week and you can choose a bottle of local wine from our Batcave. For breakfast you can choose from our delicious home-made granola, yoghurt, boiled eggs, along with a selection of pastries and breads, seasonal fresh fruit, homemade jams, Nutella and of course Marmite! ​We offer a range of Nespresso coffee, English breakfast & herbal teas along with decaf options, plus fresh milk, fruit juice, oat drink and homemade Kombucha. We also offer gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options.

The Old Presbytery is situated in the french countryside and surrounded by orchards and vineyards. We are only 1 hour drive from Bordeaux and 30 minutes from Bergerac and ideally located to explore the Bordeaux wine region, Saint-Émilion UNESCO world heritage site, Chemin de Compostelle route and the many beautiful castles and medieval towns in Gironde and Dordogne. The best way to explore our region is by car or bike.
