Wrentham has a Nature Reserve for Bird watching and country walks , a hidden cove for you to enjoy sea and sand, two pubs and a Chinese takeaway. Enjoy Suffolk , 5 miles from Southwold and a 15 minute drive from Lowestoft. Our bijou cottage is nearly 200 years old and oozes character with wooden beams, low ceilings and a log burner. A stable type door , leading into a secluded walled garden. Explore the local area , go antique hunting, visit historical Suffolk or just relax.
Wrentham is a village mentioned in the Doomsday Book and has a number of listed buildings in the area. There is a small local shop and a Factory outlet nearby as well as two great pubs and a Chinese takeaway, Just a short walk from the cottage. Easy access to many sought after locations: Southwold, Walberswick, Lowestoft, Norwich and Beecles, Gateway to the Norfolk Broads are all within reach. Two secluded beaches are close by: Cove Hithe and Benacre, both are nature reserves with a variety of bird and wildlife. The area is crisscrossed with byways to walk and cycle. The cottage is on the London Road, Beccles ( A12 ) Parking is either in a lay-by very close-by or in a road just around the corner. There is a bus service near by and many country lanes to cycle on or walkways to enjoy.
