Initial communication was excellent, key collection was exactly as described, we were able to park off road about a 10 minute walk away courtesy of a friend of the host. This was an absolute god send, as I think we would have been in trouble...

The cottage is approx 10 to 15 minutes walk from the sea and is one of four cottages which were built into an old Water Mill. The River Lym, which can be heard from the window of the twin bedroom, runs around the back of the cottages and down the side of a walled garden which is shared by all four properties. The garden is quiet and peaceful, and is a South-facing sun trap. There is a bench, table and chairs on the terrace in front of the cottage, at which our guests may enjoy their meals, when the weather is good. The cottage sleeps four people, benefitting from one double bed in the master bedroom and two single beds in the twin bedroom. All bed linen and towels are provided. There is a high chair and stairgate for toddlers, which will be there on your arrival, if arranged. There is an ironing board and iron supplied, as well as a hair dryer and mobile phone charging adapter. The TV has a built in DVD player and a selection of family friendly DVDs are supplied for your use.
My name is John. I live in London and am a qualified Nurse and Social Worker. I am 55. I was brought up in Lyme Regis and grew up for a short time in No3 Lymbrook. I therefore have a close connection with this area. My father was a mackerel fisherman here in the late 70s. Myself and my Mum used to rent out the cottage together. I am available on my mobile if you have any problems during your stay. I have always wanted people to enjoy Lyme Regis, and love introducing it to people who are knew to it. It is such a special place, and the cottage is in quite an idyllic setting, while being relatively close to the centre.
The area is not near immediate traffic and the cottage is situated in a walled garden. The area is therefore relatively quiet. Parking is on road, about 3mins away. On arrival you can drive down beside the cottages to the side gate, with Lymbrook Cottages written on it. To unpack it is possible to keep the car temporarily parked nearby, but it is quite narrow, so important to keep to one side as the road is often in use. This is of course, done at your own risk, as there are restrictions in force. More parking may be available in Anning Road, above the cottage. Tesco is half a mile away in Broad street and shuts at 11.00pm most days. An ATM machine is situated here. Buses to Axminster Railway station stop at the Cobb Gate stop at the bottom of Broad St and there is also a taxi rank here. There is a good variety of places to eat out in the neighbourhood - Fish and Chips, Curry, Vegan options, Pub Grub, Italian Cornish Pasties, Bao Buns and a number of local coffee shops are all a stone’s throw from No. 3 Lymbrook Cottages.
