About the neighbourhood
Chichester is one of the most well-preserved Georgian cities in the UK, with its centre sitting within the famous Roman walls. The four pedestrianised streets, North, South, East and West converge on Market Cross and offer a comprehensive range of shops, bars and restaurants. The arts are well catered for as Chichester is home to the internationally acclaimed Festival Theatre and smaller Minerva Theatre. Pallant House Art Gallery exhibits modern contemporary art with a high-profile permanent collection and seasonal exhibitions.
