Property information

5 East Street is a Grade II listed 2 bedroom holiday cottage in the heart of Rye Old Town. The cottage has many original features, is decorated with warm muted colours and has been furnished with a contemporary feel. Both the lounge and dining room have working wood-buners for added ambiance. There is a fully equipped modern kitchen. A downstairs shower-room and stunning ensuite bathroom. 2 double bedrooms. The front bedroom can be configured as a twin room so please request when booking. There is an enclosed courtyard garden with table and chairs, a lovely spot for your morning coffee or evening tipple. We allow one small to medium dog to stay at the cottage for an additional fee of twenty five pounds payable before arrival. As is the norm in Rye, with cottages of this age the stairs are steep but there is a handrail to assist.

Neighbourhood information

Rye is a pretty medieval town with cobbled streets and lots of history. Visit the Mermaid Inn in Mermaid street considered to be one of the most haunted building in the UK, visit the old church and climb to the top to enjoy a rooftop view of Rye. Visit the nature reserve at Rye harbour and enjoy the surroundings or visit the beautiful sandy dunes at Camber beach only 3 miles away.
