My husband and I moved from England to this area of Scotland in 2002 and have never looked back. Moray Speyside is relatively quiet - but still has plenty to do. The scenery is just stunning and we love being by the sea!

Property information

6 Seatown is a cosy and comfortable home from home - I stay with my family here for a week each October - just to make sure that the cottage has everything a family could reasonably expect! Downstairs there is an open plan lounge (complete with log burning stove) with a dining area off the kitchen, the bathroom and a king size double bedroom - this makes it well suited for those who can less easily manage the stairs. The rooms upstairs have low ceilings (part of being a traditional fisherman's cottage) so are most suited for children - and we have decorated them with a seaside theme. As well as the twin room upstairs, there is also the snug or children's playroom, with a second tv and bean bags to lounge on the floor - my twins love having their own space. The cottage is located in the quiet Seatown area, just at the end of the old bridge to the dunes and long sandy East Beach. It is within an easy walk to a number of restaurants, a shop and 2 great ice cream shops. Lossie makes a great base for exploring the local coastline, the whisky distilleries of Speyside, historic Elgin and the many golf courses and castles in the area. We just love it!
