We updated the former B&B and reopened in Summer 2022. We've tried to make our accommodation as homely as possible, we've lots of Art on the walls from Artists local and from afar. We installed Starlink Internet Wi-Fi in June 2023 so you'll be well connected online. We believe in quality not quantity and our furnishings and decoration style hopefully reflects this. The 1st floor "Three-Bedroom Apartment" is a SELF CATERING LOFT APARTMENT sleeping 6 in 3 King sized Bedrooms, all having have Sea Loch and Mountain views. There's a Living area with a new fitted Kitchen and plenty of comfy sofas to relax on. There's NO food option available. The Ground floor "Two-Bedroom Suite" is BED & BREAKFAST SUITE that sleeps 4 in 1 Master Bedroom with a King sized Bed and an adjoining bedroom with 2 x Single beds all having have views to open moorland and Mountains. There's an ensuite bathroom with full size Bath and seperate shower. Those sleeping in the Twin room need to pass throught the Master bedroom to access the Bathroom. There's NO food preparation, cooking or dining facilities available. The Ground floor "Deluxe King Room" is a BED & BREAKFAST room that sleeps 2 in 1 King sized Bed and has views to open moorland and Mountains. There's an ensuite bathroom with a shower. Simon and Sara are definitely people people! Both have long worked in Service/Hospitality field and just want to make you love their accommodation and the beautiful Skye so much that you want to come back again and again! We can't control Skye's weather, but we can offer you a warm welcome! Simon is naturally an outdoor person. He formerly worked for a National Running Retailer and is full of information about outdoor activities and photography location tips. Ask him about some off the beaten track locations to explore. If it's fresh baked bread you want, Simon's your man! Sara's spent much of her professional life working with people in the fashion industry as a hairdresser. Her experience of staying in lovely Hotels for work and pleasure informs the feeling she wants our Guests to have. Sara wants to provide a home away from home, don't be surprised if tasty treats magically appear in your accommodation!

Achalochan House is located in the rural hamlet of Ose between Struan and Dunvegan. We've wonderful views out to Loch Brachadale, McLeods's Tables, the Black Cuillin and as far as The Storr. We're just yards from Loch Bracadale and surrounded by Wildlife. We regularly spot Sea Eagles and other Raptors flying around and out in the Loch Brachadale there's several places where Seals regularly haul out to rest. Dawn and dusk is a great time to see the local deer emerge from their daytime resting places and explore the fields on the surrounding Crofts. 12 in one herd is the most we've seen so far! As a base to explore Skye, Ose is pretty central, we're just off the main road which gives fast access to the rest of the Island. The local centre of Dunvegan is just a 6.5 mile (10km) drive away. Portree is reachable in about 30 mins drive over the scenic hill road.
