We really liked the size and location of the house. It is very close to a lovely walking area. There are plenty of places to visit nearby and it was very quiet. All in all, it was a great short break. Thank you, Craig 😊

I'm a mathematician, I finished my masters at Cardiff University back in 2019, I’ve since been funding my own research by working as a mathematician and tutor in Newport. I recently settled into a more regular teaching job and I’m really enjoying the consistency.
The small village of Blaina, slightly south of Brynmawr and Ebbw Vale. A truly lovely little community that embodies the hospitality the Welsh valleys are known for. About the area: Blaina is situated close to the famous Brecon Beacons National Park, popular with walkers and cyclists for its dramatic scenery and challenging terrain. Blaina and its surrounding areas are at the heart of the Alexander Cordell’s trilogy about the Mortymer family. He was a prolific Welsh writer. Through his vivid and historically accurate writings he brings alive the turbulent early industrial Wales. Venture further afield and you can visit the market town of Abergavenny to the east, or Caerphilly to the south - famous for its cheese and its impressive medieval castle. Or you can also explore Welsh history through a visit to Big Pit National Coal Museum, part of the Blaenavon Industrial Landscape which is a World Heritage Site. The Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway and Brecon Mountain Railway are nearby.
