The studio is located less than a mile from the centre of Mere. Mere has all the basics that one needs a co-op, post office, fish and chip shop Chinese shop library, a deli and three pubs the Walnut Tree pub which is only a few hundred yards from the studio and serves good food. The co-op is open until approximately 9 PM.
There are several interesting places to visit within a 15 mile radius.
Stourhead national Trust Garden
Messums just outside Tisbury.
Hauser and Wirth which has modern art, and a very interesting garden and a great bar/restaurant.
Stonehenge is about a 20 minute drive.
Shaftesbury and Frome both small towns have markets on certain days of the week.
For fine, dining/pubs The Bath Arms Hornisham and the Bell and Crown in Zeals.
