We are lucky to have this 4 century old cottage, built approx 1640. To give an indication of age, King Charles 1st was beheaded around that time, for treason. The cottage is full of character and is situated in a great location, by the harbour and close to all amenities. You don't have far to walk to restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, beaches or anything else for that matter. The cottage sleeps up to 5 persons. We have two bedrooms, on separate floors, one en-suite, and two bathrooms. We have a small, secluded, outside, lockable area where you can sit out in the sun and have a coffee or something a little stronger and we have a large utility room on the ground floor for storing larger items such as bikes, buggies or canoes etc. We bet King Charles 1st would have liked to stay...
Your hosts are Mike & Louise. Both retired now but still avid travellers, we have been to roughly 70 different countries. We like to enjoy ourselves and we hope that we can provide good accommodation and a base so that you can too.
Our cottage, 20 metres from a small beach, by the harbour. We are surrounded by a multitude of neighbouring amenities and if you could choose your spot to be in Whitby, this property should be high on your list.
