Neighbourhood information

East Kirkland Farm is situated on the edge of the Solway Firth overlooking Wigtown Bay and the magnificent Galloway Hills. Here at Courtyard Cottages, we offer 5 well equipped self catering cottages arranged around a pretty courtyard. Only a ten minute stroll along a single track road to the town of Wigtown- proud to call itself Scotland’s National Booktown with its numerous 2nd hand book shops, cafes, restaurants and a selection of craft/antique shops for you to enjoy. Additional facilities include indoor heated swimming pool, games barn with basketball hoop, tennis, badminton, swings and trampoline, drying room, laundry room with dryer and recycling area.

Electricity: The electric for this cottage is metered. The meters accept £1 coins. Depending on time of year, expect to pay £5 - £30 per week. We have plenty of £1 coins if you need any notes changed.

Swimming Pool: Each cottage can book an hour a day in the pool (exclusive use), this is booked once you get here. The pool is also used for private hires. Pool closed on Fridays.

Pool Rules: No rough or sharp edged objects eg: snorkels, flippers, masks, oars etc, as these may damage the liner. No glitter filled inflatables.

Please note, pool is open from beginning of April till end of September

Pet Fee: When travelling with dogs, please note that an extra charge of £15per dog, per stay applies. Please note that a maximum of 2 dogs are allowed.

This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.
