Barton Cottage is a semi detached barn conversion on the edge of the pretty village of Holford in the Quantock Hills. Newly refurbished to a high standard, a fully equipped open plan kitchen , dining and sitting area. A large shower room, one king and one double sized bedroom. Tastefully furnished with 800 thread count Egyptian cotton bedding and towels. Free Wi-fi . Far reaching view to the front (Please note there is no access to the lawn at the front of the property only the driveway) There is a pretty secluded courtyard garden for the sole use of Barton Cottage with a dining table and chairs, loungers, barbecue and parking for 2 vehicles and is in walking distance to a dog friendly pub. Up to 3 dogs maybe allowed on request with a fee per dog Barton Cottage is newly refurbished, the kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, microwave, island induction hob , Nespresso coffee machine and wine chiller. There is Wi-Fi throughout the property and also an Alexa for your enjoyment to play music, answer questions and weather forecasts. Two of the TVs are smart TVs with access to Netflix and Prime Video and the third TV has an Amazon Fire Stick. Welcome pack on arrival including milk ,butter, tea, coffee, bread, eggs and a cake. Also an option to pre-order an evening meal on the day of your arrival . Please request a menu after booking.

Barton Cottage is situated just outside the pretty village of Holford, nestled at the foot of the Quantock Hills and within the Quantock AONB. There are fabulous walks from your door step and numerous opportunities for riding horses and bikes. The property is only 4 miles to the fossil beach in Kilve where you will also a Tea Garden . There are 2 great dog friendly local pubs , The Plough a 5 minute walk away, and The Hood only a 5 minute drive away in Kilve. There is also The Kitchen at Quantock Lakes in Nether Stowey where they serve great breakfasts and Sunday Lunches , check their web site as opening times vary. Holford and the neighbouring village of Nether Stowey are well-known for their connections to the romantic poets William Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge who lived there at the end of the eighteenth century. Coleridge’s home in Nether Stowey is now owned by the National Trust. Slightly further afield, local attractions include Dunster Castle and medieval village, Hestercombe house and gardens, Watchet Marina where you can get on the West Somerset Steam Railway to Minehead, Blue Anchor Bay, Porlock weir, and Exmoor Nat
