A stunning, period cottage, rennovated beautifully to meet modern, cosy standards whilst maintaining the character and charm of an 18th century cottage. If woodburners, low beams and antique wooden floors are to your liking then Beehive Cottage would be the perfect holiday getaway. Outside there is a bbq and chimnea to enjoy. The previous owner lived in the cottage for nearly 90 years and was a passionate bee keeper. The house is one of the oldest in the parish. The cottage was totally refurbished in 2022 and offers an enclosed dog, child friendly garden with off road parking and lockable driveway gates.
We fell in love with Beehive Cottage and both enjoy a rennovation project. The cottage has such a wonderful, calm and relaxing atmosphere and we always enjoy time there. You can see the rennovation pictures on our instagram page bee_hivecottage We are always on hand to provide further information and support if needed during your stay.
The cottage is ideally situated close to Beccles town, approximately 25 minute walk, either on a direct urban footpath or a beautiful, slightly longer 40 minute walk alongside the river Waveney. You can reach the Suffolk coastline within a 25 minute drive, including the stunning beaches of Lowestoft, Pakefield, Southwold, Kessingland, Cove Hithe and Dunwich. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants that are both family and dog friendly within walking distance. There are also mainline trains to Lowestoft, Ipswich, Woodbridge and London and a regular bus service in the village to Lowestoft and Norwich.
