This UK getaway is great whatever the weather, with plenty of sites to explore and a luxurious stay to come back to, including attractions such as Penistone Town, Holmfirth Vineyard and various local pubs.

Birdsedge is a 10 minute car ride away, a town famous for the Last of the Summer Wine series and home to the beautiful Holmfirth Vineyard . Various nearby attractions including the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, The Peak District National Park and the National Coal Mining Museum. Holmfirth also hosts numerous festivals throughout the year. There are plenty places to explore including the stunning landscapes of the nearby Peak District, this luxury staycation is ideal for walkers/cyclists and romantic getaways. Also close by are surrounding cities Huddersfield, Sheffield, Leeds & Manchester. Birdsedge has regular bus routes to surrounding areas such as Holmfirth, Huddersfield and Wakefield. Ideally the main transport would be by car. Holmfirth has a central bus station, various taxi providers and also a railway station.
