Birdsong lodge is a wonderfully secluded romantic retreat, for couples or couples with young children. Accessed only on foot, you'll need to walk the 130m track, part of which is a steep 1:4. We will help you with your luggage if required. The lodge has small double bedroom and double sofa bed. The views will take your breath away, looking across the wooded valley, with just a glimpse of the sea. For summers evenings the stone seat with firepit/bbq is a perfect set to watch the sun go down. Please note our change over days are Monday and Friday only
We are a working farm, so if you need any help there's usually one of us not far away. But for many of our guests it is the seclusion of the lodge that will be the great attraction, so we hope we can leave you to enjoy the amazing tranquility of Birdsong Lodge
We're lucky to live in a very special part of North Devon. Woolacombe beach with it's 2 and a half miles of golden sand is only 3 miles away, and the picturesque cove of Lee Bay is accessible via a 40 minute walk through the woods below the Lodge, (This can be quite muddy at some times of the year) Lee offers access to the South west coast path, with stunning views both towards Ilfracombe and westwards towards Woolacombe. The south west cycle network runs through the farm, only a quarter of a mile away, with access eastwards to Ilfracombe and westwards to Barnstaple and beyond
