Osprey Holiday Cottages are a local staycation specialist based on the Isle of Portland, Dorset. I am Philippa, I am the owner of the business, I pride myself and my business offering wonderful breaks to Weymouth & Portland. We have no call centres, just a dedicated local team ready to help. Blackford House is managed by Osprey Holiday Cottages. We are based on Portland. A house manual will be available at house on your arrival with our contact details. We have staff on call 24hours a day for emergencies.

Property information

Blackford House is the perfect place to unwind and explore Portland with family and friends. The house also has spacious living areas and three bedrooms, sleeping seven and allowing room for a crib and travel cots. With high bay windows at the front of the house (including a sea view from the bedroom) and large windows elsewhere you'll be bathed in natural light whether you're catching up on emails on your retreat, relaxing before your next adventure or just unwinding after a long day.

Neighbourhood information

Blackford House is set within the village of Fortuneswell. At the end of the street you can join the coastal path down to Chesil Beach. On the beach you can visit The Cove House Bar & Restaurant and also Quiddles Café. You can follow the coastal path and walk the up to Tout Sculpture Park. The house is a great location if you love to walk, you can take the coastal path around the entire Island. (takes about 4 hours) Within the village of Fortuneswell you have a Co-op ,a Post Office and a few takeaway restaurants. The local bus that takes you into Weymouth is a 2 minute walk from the house. During the summer months you can catch the 501 bus which is a open top bus that runs to Weymouth - Portland Bill
