Enjoy a restful break at Brook Cottage, a characterful 18th Century cottage, recently renovated to a high standard in the heart of the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park. Askrigg is a delightful village, ideally situated for enjoying all that the Dales has to offer, at any time of year. This beautifully furnished cottage, with a mix of antiques and modern styling, has quirky touches and a cosy wood burning stove. Brook Cottage is comfortable and stylish with thoughtful additions such as quality bedding, towels, bathrobes, complimentary toiletries and a generous welcome pack. The bedroom has exposed roof timbers and the bathroom and entrance cloaks area both have custom built cabinetry. All the furniture has been carefully chosen to be comfortable and in-keeping with a period property. Original art work adorns the walls. The kitchen has an electric oven with induction hob and there is also a dishwasher and washing machine. The cottage has a recently installed electric heating system to keep you warm and comfortable and the shower is powerful and efficient. The woodburning stove will be ready to light and a generous supply of logs and kindling are provided to ensure you can enjoy cosy evenings by the fire. There is wi fi throughout and the cottage also benefits from having a smart TV as well as a Roberts blue tooth speaker to let you enjoy your favourite sounds.
We have been coming to Askrigg since the 1980s and decided we wanted to have a base for ourselves and our guests to use to explore the amazing Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Askrigg is a charming village in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Askrigg featured in the original series of All Creatures Great and Small. The village is ideally placed for walking and all outdoor activities. Askrigg has 3 pubs, a cafe, craft shop and also a brewery with brewery tap. There are walks in all directions. Hawes, the largest village in the Yorkshire Dales is approximately 6 miles away and is home to The Wensleydale Creamery.
