Buttercup is a delightful thatched cottage situated in the picturesque village of Hartest. A large private garden with a footbridge across the stream makes way to beautiful open countryside and endless footpaths. One of which takes you to the superb village pub, only a 4 minute walk away and renowned for its great food and their own brewed craft beers. Located in rural Suffolk in the quiet village of Hartest, Buttercup is ideal for a family holiday or anyone looking to relax and unwind. The cottage has a wealth of period features and a bright, spacious open plan living and dining area with wood burning stove for those cosy winter nights in. The living area has a large Sony TV, now tv stick and DVD player (with an extensive selection of DVDs to choose from) and an Apple iMac Computer and antique desk. The pine table and chairs in the dining area sit next to a beautiful recently exposed feature fireplace. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need for a comfortable stay including a pod coffee machine. The newly fitted traditional bathroom has a Crittall style double width walk in shower. Upstairs, there are two interconnecting pretty bedrooms; one with a Kingsize bed and luxury mattress and the second set-up as a twin room. To the rear is a large garden with a paved terrace and furniture for outside dining surrounded by mature hedging providing plenty of privacy. Buttercup is ideally located to explore the historic market town of Bury St Edmunds and villages of Long Melford and Lavenham. If you wish to go further afield you can be on the Suffolk coast in 1 hour and 15 minutes or the University City of Cambridge within the hour. The cottage allows 1 or 2 small to medium sized well-behaved dogs. We ask they are not left alone, permitted upstairs or on furniture.
