He is always on hand to offer advice about nearby attractions, eateries, watering holes and much more. Around the farm Medwyn will be seen looking after the new born lambs, sheep, ducks and free-range chickens – helped by the "Head of PR", the lovely friendly labrador, Winnie. One of Pen Cefn’s most exciting times in the farming calendar is lambing season –Medwyn is more than happy to share this experience with you (January – March only) With its rolling countryside, secluded location and cozy interior Pen Cefn offers the perfect getaway. Whatever the purpose of your visit a warm and friendly welcome awaits you.

The Shepherd's Hut is set on a 25 acre traditional sheep farm in the heart of North Wales. Only 5-10 minutes from the A55 expressway Pen Cefn is a perfect base for exploring North Wales and Snowdonia National Park. Inside the Shepherd's Hut is wonderful, cozy and quiet accommodation with a large double bed, made up with luxurious bed linen (pillows and a duvet provided). With the wood burner, the hut is super warm on chilly nights with French windows looking out onto an uninterrupted view of the Welsh hills and countryside. The kitchen is fully kitted out with a fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and a small hob. The hut has freeview TV, a dining room table and sofa bed. Outside there is a private decked area to sit with a fire pit, wooden picnic table and parasol for shade.

The farm is set in 25 acres of beautiful countryside close to the village of Dolwen. Only 5-10 minutes from the A55 expressway Pen Cefn is a perfect base for exploring North Wales and Snowdonia National Park. There are nearby castles, outdoor activities, mountains and miles of beautiful coastline. Anglesey, Conwy, Llandudno the Great Orme and Chester are all within easy reach.
