Folly Cottage is a beautiful cottage in the scenic village of Austwick in the North Yorkshire Dales National Park. A perfect base for relaxing, or exploring the stunning countryside by car, on foot or bicycle. Only 200ft from our award winning pub, restaurant and patisserie,The Game Cock Inn and a short walk from 3 AA Rosette The Traddock Hotel. Austwick offers a small convenient store, eco/gift shop, church, village hall and bus stop.
Myself and my husband run The Game Cock just up the road so if you find you need something or need help with anything just pop up to the pub and ask for Eric or Maree. We will be more than happy to help.
A semi-detached cottage close to all amenities in this idilic village, including our award winning pub ideal for a meal at the end of a busy day. Enjoy the friendliness of the local residents and neighbours, and make the most of being able to leave your car at home while enjoying the many footpaths in the area. There is a bus service that runs daily from the bus stop opposite the church in the village. Check local bus times online or on the timetable at the bus stop. Train stations are available in surrounding villages, Clapham, Giggleswick or the infamous Settle to Carlisle railway taking you to popular attractions in and around the area.
