Sweetcombe Cottage Holidays is a locally based self-catering agency focusing on East Devon. Established over 35 years ago with just a handful of cottages, the company has grown to the point where we now successfully market a wide variety of properties throughout the region. From the start we were determined to build up a reputation for offering only the best of properties. The company has grown, but everyone involved still holds true to the combination of commitment and professionalism that is the foundation of the company's success. Family run to this day, we are still able to offer that personal service which sadly in today's ever increasing pace of life can sorely fall by the wayside.

The Cider Cottage, is Grade II listed and has just been new refurbished, retaining much charm and character with stylish furnishings and colour schemes throughout. The cottage forms separate self-contained accommodation next to the Old Farmhouse thatched cottage which also offers B & B (ideal if you have extra family for a day or two). Just a short walk to the town centre, sea front and the South West Coastal Path, this makes a lovely base for exploring the area. From the parking area a footpath leads to the entrance door. Open plan kitchen and living area with dining table, breakfast bar with stools. Large enclosed private patio area with garden furniture. One double bedroom with a king size bed, en-suite shower and W.C. Twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom with W.C. Unfortunately this property doesn't accept children under 5.

We have a range of holiday cottages in Sidmouth, with its abundance of independent shops it is well worth a visit, whilst the esplanade overlooks the picturesque and tranquil beach. Towards the western end of the promenade an area of sand is uncovered at low tide, along with rock pools perfect for adventures with the kids. A short walk around the pathway under the red sandstone cliffs you can find Jacobs Ladder which offers a mile of sandy beach at low tide and colourful beach huts. Climb up Jacobs Ladder to find Connaught Gardens, here there is the most wonderful café offering the biggest homemade cakes you have ever seen! Each Sunday evening throughout the summer you can sit and watch the Sidmouth Town Band play. The town and the seafront offer a wide range of activities including Paddleboarding & Kayaking, while quiet serenity can be enjoyed in the town’s gardens and outskirts.
