Orkney Cottage is a cosy traditional stone cottage in the heart of the Highlands - the perfect place for fantastic family and outdoor activity holidays. Its large private gardens border the Highland Wildlife Park so you can see wild horses, camels and buffalo alongside the local wildlife! Ten minutes drive to Aviemore and only 2 miles to Kincraig and Loch Insh watersports. Located right on a cycle path and a short drive to local amenities.

We live in Edinburgh so won't be on site but we have great local people taking care of the cottage and can provide friend's contact details should you need. There's a keybox for flexible access and you will have my mobile for any questions you might have and recommendations you're looking for.

Uniquely located next to the Highland Wildlife Park you can see intriguing residents such as buffalo and camels from the cottage windows. See the polar bears, snow leopards, wolves and Scottish wildcats. Local amenities are: Loch Insh Watersports, Landmark Adventure Park, Alvie Zip wire trek, Newtonmore Folk Park, Laggan Wolftrax mountain biking centre, beautiful lochside walks and trail riding, superb road biking, Loch Ness, distillery tours, fishing on the Spey River, winter skiing and snowboarding, so much to do!!! Easy driving to all major local attractions. Cycle/walking path at the bottom of the entrance road to access Kincraig, Alvie and Aviemore only 7 miles away. Bus stop at the bottom of the hill.
