The cottage is 15 metres from the sea. It’s a wild coastline with a beach 4 minutes walk. It’s nearly dark sky at night. Owls are heard most nights, kestrels and buzzards are regular visitors with good wildlife. The beach is well known for fossils and flint weapons as the cliffs erode. This is a unique and remote place, in a gale it’s dramatic with the sea in its majesty. The house is protected by flood defences and has sea views from most rooms.

Remote and wild. Bawdsey and Alderton are very friendly villages. Swan Inn in Alderton is a great village pub and the village shop sells food made on the premises. Near by is sharks tooth beach, Bawdsey Quay, Sutton Hoo and Suffolk Punch Trust.
