Peaceful Derbyshire village with several pubs and a couple of shops, including a great butchers, post office and Cafe. The incredible Chatsworth house, with gardens and parkland designed by Capability Brown (along with Farm and Playground for kids) is 15 minutes away. The Market towns of Matlock and Bakewell and 10 and 20 minutes respectively. Close to Matlock are the Heights of Abraham Cable Car & the Tram museum at Crich. Matlock is in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Derwent Valley, where the modern factory system was developed in the 18th century. Today, it’s home to the much-loved Matlock Bath Illuminations (Saturday and Sunday nights in September and October), plus Gulliver’s World theme park and a host of other visitor attractions. There are multiple walks in the Derbyshire Dales accessible from your doorstep or head to Castleton, Hathersage & the Peak District (less than 20 minutes drive) Private off street parking for two cars.
