Nestled in the town’s conservation area, this dog-friendly cottage makes the perfect base - whether you’re strolling back from a riverside walk or winding down for a peaceful evening. Inside, you’ll find soft throws to snuggle up with, a smart TV with Netflix for cosy nights in, and a vintage-style desk if you need to catch up on work. Outside, your own private garden awaits, complete with twinkling fairy lights - just right for a sunset drink or a quiet moment beneath the stars. Please note: The bedroom and bathroom are reached via a steep, narrow staircase – one of the charming quirks that come with staying in a listed, historic cottage. It adds to the character of the space but may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. This isn’t a modern build, and that’s what makes it special. With gently sloping floors, thoughtful touches, and plenty of personality, Deben Cottage combines the soul of a true old English home with the comfort and ease of a peaceful retreat.

My husband, Oli, and I are both former teachers whose work took us from Abu Dhabi to Melbourne - and sparked a real love of travel and meeting people from all over the world. These days, we run our property business while tutoring online, which lets us keep exploring and sharing the joy of a great stay with our guests. We’ve fallen in love with Woodbridge - recently voted the happiest town in the UK - and it’s easy to see why.
