Dolphin Cottage gets its name from the many dolphin sightings off the local coastline. The cottage is located in a secluded site off Harbour Road, the gateway to Ballintoy Harbour. The harbour is a 10 minute walk away and is one of the most photogenic locations on the famous coastal route, whatever the weather - from the splitting sunshine on a good day or the big waves on a wet stormy day it still looks incredible. The road down to the harbour twists and turns offering views in every direction. Ballintoy is located 5 miles from the busy seaside town of Ballycastle and 7 miles from Bushmills. The coastal path from Ballintoy church offers stunning views and is a direct route to the National Trust site at Carrick-A-Rede where you can buy tickets to cross the famous rope bridge and spot dolphins. Local award winning pub/restaurants are a 10 minute walk away in the village of Ballintoy.
Be inspired by Causeway Coast and Glens’ many TV and film locations. Thrones can visit real-life locations at Dragonstone, Pyke Harbour, The Dark Hedges among others. Dunluce Castle and Whiterocks feature in Disneys’ Artemis Fowl. Chill out at Benone Beach from The Fall or explore the Giant’s Causeway as seen in Dracula Untold.
