Nantlle village is located inside the National Park with Snowdon Basecamp at Rhyd Ddu being JUST 5 MILES away. Awarded UNESCO World Heritage status for its dramatic slate landscapes, Nantlle is a winning destination for walkers, cyclists, divers, sight seers, and anyone with a love of the great outdoors. We are dog friendly and welcome one small to medium-sized breed.

Nantlle is the most Westerly village in Snowdonia National Park. Snowdon Base Camp at Rhyd Ddu ( The Rhyd Ddu Path) is just 5.3 miles making it the ideal location for walkers. As well as being the gateway to the sights and historic towns of the area, Nantlle itself boasts the iconic Dorothea Quarry and Lakes, with the deepest inland diving site in the UK. Dorothea and the adjacent quarry are no longer mined, but the infrastructure and flooded mining pits have created a huge area reminiscent of middle earth crossed with Jurassic park - unique and quite stunning! The main Nantlle upper lake is also great for wild swimming and permits are available to fish by boat for brown trout. Access to the Nantlle Ridge walk and cycling routes also start in the village. The nearest beach is a 15 min drive at Dinas Dinlle. Just up the road, we have Pant Du, a lovely Welsh vineyard producing wines and ciders from their own crops. A must-see. Nantlle is connected to the rural bus routes in the area, taking you into Caernarfon etc. Parking is on the road outside the cottage and there is plenty of room for two cars.
