Doura Lodge
Doura Lodge is a spacious, light, airy, contemporary Eco friendly family home, with guest rooms, the focus being on comfort. Each room has its own individuality and a view of the surrounding countryside. The property is in a quiet tranquil setting boasting fantastic views of the Culloden Viaduct and mountains. A varied and tasty Breakfast is served around the table in the spacious kitchen-diner overlooking the Culloden Viaduct. Parking is available, as is storage for bikes/skis etc.
Hosts Josef & Emma have many years experience in the hospitality industry, having previously been involved in Hotels and restaurants. They are both passionate about food and enjoy entertaining. They are very knowledgeable about the region and are happy to share tips and advice on your Scottish trip.
Doura Lodge is situated in Culloden Moor only 2km from the famous Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns and Cawdor Castle. Inverness is a 10min drive as is the airport. The property is ideally situated for the North Coast 500, The Castle Trail, the Malt Whisky Trail, The Moray Coast, The Outlander Trail, Loch Ness, and West Coast to mention but a few! In winter the ski areas of Aviemore and the Lecht are approx.1 hour away. Doura Lodge is an ideal base, the beautiful Isle of Skye is only 2hrs 30mins, Ullapool - 1hr 30mins!
