Ellerbrook House is a small guest house in Windermere. It is only a five minute walk to the restaurants and shops and 10 minute walk to the railway station. Previously it had been owned by Miss Brownlow, Who was a friend of Beatrix Potter She would have been 150 years old in 2016 ! .it is rumoured she visited her here on occasions. Our guest houses contain many of the original Victorian features & is situated close to Ellerbeck, the stream that can be seen/heard from the property.This stream gently winds its way down to lake Windermere (The largest lake in England). All our rooms have FREE WI-FI and 27" Smart TV's Customer care is paramount & I trust you will enjoy your stay with us in this beautiful part of the Lake District.
We are Rob and Becky - we own and run Ellerbrook House Bed and Breakfast. We are keen on Travelling, hiking, canoeing, sailing, cycling and wild camping. We also enjoy eating out in the local restaurants. We have 2 teenage children also. We have lived in Windermere for over 20 years so can happily share local knowledge with you.
Ellerbrook House is over 130 years old. A typical Victorian slate and stone built property. We are only a few minutes walk from Windermere centre where there are an array of cafes, shops and restaurants. We are only a 10 to 15 minute walk to Bowness where there is a cinema and more shops and restaurants. You can also catch a boat trip from the lake here.
