With 3 ensuite bedrooms, and set within a beautiful thatched walled garden, Enford House Cottage is the perfect place for a relaxing & peaceful break in the English countryside but is also within easy reach of local pubs and tourist attractions such as Salisbury, Stonehenge, Avebury, Marlborough and Bath. The cottage is an attached wing of an 18th Century manor house and home from home with comfortable beds, good quality bedlinen, TV's in all rooms, patio and a games room The cottage is child friendly - the garden is enclosed by the wall and the entrance gate can be shut. WIFI is available. There is a games room with Table Tennis, pool, table football and a rowing machine. The garden is shared with the owners and has a 14ft trampoline and swing and slide for guests to use. Because of its central location as well as Stonehenge, Salisbury, Marlborough and Avebury (all within 10-25 mins drive) guests can travel within 1 hours drive to Bath, Oxford, Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester, Longleat, Stourhead, Lacock and many other places Reviews can be found on our pages at Airbnb and Homeaway as we are new to booking
My husband and myself live in Enford, in the manor house next door to the cottage. We are lucky as its such a friendly village to live in and in a beautiful setting with a great local pubs in nearby villages while our local pub is under refurbishment. I also work in London for an investment bank and my husband is an accountant based in Southampton. The cottage has its own patio and games room, guests share the garden with us and our Golden Retriever called Lola but we are often away.
The cottage is set in a beautiful village in the middle of Salisbury Plain. Salisbury, Stonehenge, Marlborough and Avebury, as well as many other tourist attractions are all within half an hours drive (Stonehenge is 10 minutes away). Bath is a 1 hour drive away, as is Oxford, Bristol and London is easily accessible by Train (train ride is 1hr 15mins). We are very lucky with great places to eat nearby. The Dog and Gun in Netheravon is a lovely pub that does good food. The Red Lion in East Chisenbury has a Michelin pub star - booking is essential. Both places are 2 mins drive away or a 15-20 min walk. Great Indian food nearby with the Balti at Everleigh. And Salisbury and Marlborough have many great restaurants including Rick Stein in Marlborough
