Dating back to 1875, this semi-detached former fisherman’s cottage lies just 100 yards from the beach, and offers a homely base for couples and small families. Belonging to the same family for over 100 years, the new cottage owners are rightly proud of the heritage of this charming cottage. Recently renovated the cottage provides a comfortable home from home.
Currently have a successful dog boarding business in Newbiggin. Our aim is to attract many new guests to the area with our cosy cottage.
The sweeping bay, with its offshore sculpture 'The Couple', has a sandy beach and promenade, with an Italian ice cream parlour to relax in after a walk along the seafront. Once renowned for it's bustling fishing industry, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea is a small friendly village with a cliff top golf course, the oldest Lifeboat Station in England, no less than 5 Blue Plaques, and a Maritime Heritage Centre housing the old lifeboat and museum. Nearby is Moroeth, a charming, historic town and once the capital on Northumberland is 8 miles away, with an abundance of tea rooms, ,pubs and shops. The Northumbrrland National Park, Druridge Bay,,Farne Islands, Holy Island and Alnwick Castle are all readily accessible. Newcastle is a 30 minute drive or there is a bus stop close to the property. Fisherman's Cottage makes the ideal base from which to discover the delight of this charming unspoilt county. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards. and unspoilt county.
