So how long have I been doing this and why do I love it so much?
Well, I've spent over 40 years painting and photographing this beautiful area, in all the seasons, and love the chance to share it with you. As an artist I can't imagine living anywhere more beautiful and the area is the inspiration for my work. All the paintings in the cottage are my originals and help connect the interior design to the beauty of the surrounding natural world. Much thought and attention to detail has gone into the aesthetics and overall design - as an artist it matters to me that it is tastefully done and looks good. It's it own creative project and an absolute labour of love. In addition, all the cleaning materials and toiletries are handmade by me, using pure natural ingredients, perfumed with sweet smelling organic essential oils, and put into lovely glass bottles. When in season the fruit bowl is filled with the organically grown fruits from my garden, including: peaches, plums, damsons, pears, strawberries, raspberries, apples and blueberries. There will be milk in the fridge, teas, good quality fresh coffee, cookies and a gin and tonic for you when you arrive.
Also over this past 35 years I have enjoyed welcoming people to the Cotswolds via a mix of running holiday cottages, hosting seminars and facilitating retreats. My other big interest, and area of study, is psychology and the courses pull upon my post-graduate studies, masters in NLP, coaching diploma and MBTI step 1 & 2 to help people connect with themselves and others. In particular much of my work is based on Iain McGilchrist's theories about the left and right hemisphere of the brain.
My creative work both in the studio and putting together and running Four Seasons Cottage is driven by my right-hemisphere and is all about the senses. All your creature comforts are lovingly thought about and I pride myself in doing everything I can to help make your experience as good as it can be.
I hope you enjoy :-)

Property information
Nestled at the foot of Bredon Hill, in the Cotswolds, artist Samantha Dadd has converted her old Art Studio into a beautiful hideaway. In keeping with her work each area of the cottage reflects the different seasons of the year and still houses some of her original paintings and art books. Perfect for a romantic break, a creative space to work in, an active holiday base for walking/cycling or a base from which to explore other honey coloured stone Cotswold villages and towns.
The space
Watch the sun rise from the picture window at the front of the property which looks out onto a huge horse chestnut tree, orchard, fields and distant hills. Step outside to hear the dawn chorus of bird song. Sit and enjoy a drink on the pretty patio to the front of the house. Then, in the evening, see the silvery moon and stars between the branches of the chestnut tree whose canopy reaches out towards the cottage. Take a moment just to breathe and smell the sweet scent of flowers on the evening air. Just bliss...
