Funky Urban Jungle is a 175-year-old property that blends historic features with modern comforts. It is a short walk into the city (12-15 minutes). It has been a film set for TV & films-Paddington Bear made his marmalade sandwiches here! With high ceilings, each double bedroom has its own private bathroom. Breakfast is provided either al fresco, in the orangery or kitchen. Our traditional lever (hand-pulled) Wega espresso machine makes the best coffees in town. Its original pine flooring and wood-burning stoves adds to its cozy and rustic charm. The decor is vibrant and eclectic, giving the place a quirky and inviting atmosphere that lives up to its name.

Lounge and Orangery: Guests can unwind in the lounge or the orangery. Our mango wood daybeds from Bali offer comfort where you can enjoy the unique ambiance of the house. Our gardens is stocked with over 40 Australian tree ferns and home to foxes, squirrels, birds, frogs and newts. There are so many birds that you may spot our resident peregrine falcon or sparrow hawk. Most mornings, our friendly squirrel will join you for breakfast.
Trekker and bird enthusiast. Trips can be arranged into the remote and historical Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. Follow the Gospel Pass and the route Augustin monks took 1000 years ago.
