Position in market square. Cheery and helpful staff. By luck, we had booked on Xmas festival night so had parade and samba band ad crowds for the switch on of the town Xmas tree. Right below our room window.

Company information

Wadworth is an independent family brewer based in Wiltshire, England since 1875. It brews great beer and operates 200 English pubs in some of the most beautiful locations in the UK. It has nearly 300 bedrooms across a number of pubs and hotels, all located in the West Country. Proud of its heritage, Wadworth works extremely hard to make customers days whether they are popping in a pub for a pint or making the most of a visit by staying in its accommodation.

Property information

The George Hotel sits prominently on the main high-street within the bustling market town of Frome, Somerset. Boasting 28 ensuite hotel rooms across four floors, we are the largest pub / hotel within the town centre. Located within a few minutes walk of the Cheese & Grain and public car parks, Frome is famously known for their independently owned restaurants, shops, bars, takeaways and cinema. Being a market town, you can expect a weekly farmers markets every Wednesday & Saturday, and the 'Frome Independent Market' held on the first Sunday of the month between March and December (travel restrictions apply). Our bar area is dog friendly and family friendly, here you can find live sports being shown across our screens via BT and Sky sports. We offer freshly prepared, home cooked traditional food which is available all day every day, including roasts on a Sunday. We take allergies and dietary requirements very seriously and are able to offer a diverse menu to suit everyone. We welcome dogs in hotel rooms for surcharge of ten pounds per dog per night, that will be added to your booking and can be paid upon check-in. Our bar is stocked full of customer favourite beers, lagers, gins, wines, ciders and whiskeys including 'Wadworth' ales. Our bar and restaurant is completely accessible for pushchairs, prams and wheelchairs but our hotel rooms are situated from the the first floor upwards, only accessible via stairway, we do not recommend staying with us if you or any member of your party has walking difficulties. We do have a very small underground car park with limited parking which is located off-site, under the 'Westway' shopping centre precinct. There are height and size restrictions and it is only recommended for small vehicles. This carpark is manually locked and secured by the guest and spaces are first come, first served.

We are also close to public transport networks which makes us the perfect base for any trip.
