Our cottage is very warmly and unique and complimented by beautiful surroundings. From going hillwalking treks with family or friends to sitting in with the open fire on with a glass of wine in your hand, it is perfect to accomodate everyone.
Both my wife and I love the cottage as it is perfect for a getaway from all the stresses that day to day life brings. With Sheep, lambs and rabbits roaming around free in the village it is also a great environment for children.
The cottage is a stone throw away from the local pub which serves great food and is perfect for a few drinks. The village is also host to a mining museum which do tours regularly. Close by is the mennoch pass which is popular on lovely sunny days to have a picnic and dip your toes In the water. There is also a 9 hole golf course 5 minutes drive away. Drumlanrig Castle (outlander) is 15 minute drive which is super for children and has beautiful gardens.
