Position was perfect, everything you required from the fire lighters & logs, coffee pods to biscuits and a welcome bottle of champagne nothing was to much trouble.

You can not ask for better hosts. The communication was fantastic, watching out for the weather and informing us of the ferry service changes. The sisters provide you with an incredible level of customer care. So friendly and caring.

A compact, elevated holiday home, overlooking Brodick Bay and with views towards Brodick Castle. Conveniently close to the Ferry Terminal, with easy access to the beach (5 mins walk), local shops & restaurants in Brodick. The central feature is a stunning sun lounge with picture windows which is the perfect place to look out to sea, with patio doors leading to a terrace. By night, the sun lounge is transformed into a cosy social hub with cabin -style pine ceilings and walls creating warmth set off by a beautiful log-burning stove. An open plan dining room and kitchen off the sun lounge, keep all the family together and a separate living- space in the original cottage domain has a single truckle bed, additional TV, seat and privacy folding doors to transform it into a fourth sleeping area for one person. Downstairs, there is a recently installed spacious family shower room with toilet & wash basin and upstairs there is a recently installed WC with wash basin. All sleeping areas have sea views. The cottage enjoys original period features, including the period cooking range (decorative only) and timber cottage style doors. Original contemporary artwork, enhances this family home. The cottage has a garden with grassed area (via steps) and patio areas front and back to enjoy the sun, all day long. There are various outbuildings where luggage could be left by arrangement and bikes can be, kept secure at night. There is a cycle hire company in the village of Brodick. There is mini-golf course a 5 minute walk from the property. The famous Auchrannie Country Club is a 15 min walk. In Brodick, there is a Co-op Supermarket, local butcher and a local bakery shop serving all your needs. A car is recommended, so that the wider island can be explored easily but there is a regular bus service round the island and taxi hire.
The sisters who run the property have between them run their own successful businesses in retail, catering, property advisory and property management. They know the island and property well having worked and spent leisure time on the island all their lives. They look forward, to giving you a warm Scottish welcome and a few island treats, will be awaiting your arrival, so that you instantly feel at home. The cottage to them is the place where you instantly relax, breath in the sea air and chat, play and look out to sea in the cosy atmosphere that feels like home before stepping out, in all elements, to explore the beautiful Island of Arran - known locally as "Scotland in Miniature". The sisters were delighted when, it was reported in the Herald in July 2025 "Arran has been named as a UNESCO Global Geopark, recognising the international importance of the geological heritage of its landscapes. Arran, which straddles the Highland Boundary Fault, has been described by the Geological Society as “one of the best locations for fieldwork in Europe”, with the island’s rocks said to “record an epic journey from south of the equator over 600 million years”. *PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT BOOKINGS FOR LESS THAN 7 DAYS DURING CHRISTMAS/ NEW YEAR AND EASTER HOLIDAY PERIODS - DUE TO HIGH DEMAND ON ISLAND AND HIGH DEMAND FOR CHANGEOVER STAFF. WE APPRECIATE YOUR UNDERSTANDING. THANK YOU*
Here's what there is to do... Arran boasts many coastal golf courses, beaches and water activities. Brodick, the village where you will be staying, is the island's "capital" and home to the famous, Auchrannie Country Club & Resort with facilities open to public, that include a swimming pool with children's pool, gym, Auchrannie Spa, The Play Barn (soft play and outdoor area) and with 3 restaurants on site, it is a great day out. Outdoor sightseeing can be taken in by bike and there is local cycle hire. Why not cycle round to Brodick Castle and Gardens owned by The National Trust for Scotland? In terms of other heritage, there are two island whisky distilleries situated in beautiful dramatic rural settings in the south and north east of the island explaining traditional distilling methods with tasting. For kids -there is mini- golf along the promenade in Brodick and an adventurous outdoor forest park at Brodick Castle, with fort and sand-pit, as well as zip- wires for older and younger children. Spend time browsing the beautiful gift shops, craft shops around the island and stop for morning coffee or afternoon tea in the many locally run cafes. A visit to Arran Heritage Museum, Arran Aromatics Factory and Shop, The Arran Cheese Factory are all well worth it. For the active and adventurous visitors, there is the highest peak on the island - Goat Fell to climb, tennis, stunning nature walks and local interest trails / points including Machrie Standing Stones, Glen Rosa, Kings' Caves and much more. Arran boasts a brewery, the annual Brodick Highland Games and other local community events, including live music venues. Arran is an adventure and a cultural, culinary, social & active holiday experience. Ferries depart from both Brodick and Lochranza. Island hopping off the west coast of Scotland is very popular and Arran is one of the most popular and busiest holiday destinations along this route.
