Fully equipped kitchen/diner with large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, gas hob with electric oven and microwave. Shower room (refurbished 2023) with automatic gas-heated hot water and double shower and washing machine. Cottage comprises three double bedrooms with a sofa bed in the lounge. I live by the motto 'mi casa es tu casa' (my home is your home) so whether you are on your first visit, or a returning guest, I’d like to extend you a very warm welcome to Harbour Cottage. Fergal McShane
Staying at this self-catering, beach-side cottage, you won’t just get a glimpse of the sea, you’ll get the whole Atlantic Ocean within metres from your lounge window! The cottage is right on the seafront, within touching distance (a minute’s walk) from the beach at Ballintoy Harbour. Situated on the Antrim Coast, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, an 8-mile drive westwards, will take you to the world-famous Giants Causeway – Northern Ireland’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site; the Carrick-a-rede rope bridge is 1-mile heading east with the picturesque town of Ballycastle located 6-miles eastward. Harbour Cottage is set within the most stunning surroundings - 200 yards from the idyllic harbour itself and ‘O’Rourke’s Kitchen’ (café). Adjacent the sandy Ballintoy beach, at the start of a beautiful scenic walk from Ballintoy Harbour to White Park Bay (a stunning, sweeping mostly deserted two-mile stretch of golden sandy beach owned by the National Trust) en route to the Giant’s Causeway and the village of Bushmills (home to the oldest licence distillery in the world).
