Harbour Hideaway is a grade 2 listed fishing cottage nestled in the Old Town of Scarborough underneath the historic castle and is a stones throw away from the harbour and South Bay Beach. The cottage was built approximately 1805.

Hello I’m Alex and I host Harbour Hideaway and Sea Biscuit Cottage with my wife Kayleigh and my sister Andrea. I’ve always had an interest in property and love the character of the Old Town in Scarborough. My sister and I both grew up down the “Bottom End” and it really can’t be beaten. We hope you love our cottages as much as we do and if there is anything you’d like to know about visiting or Scarborough in general then please do ask. The Old Town is full of character and history. Lots of families have lived down here for generations, many coming from fishing families. It’s a very friendly place so do feel comfortable to say hello in the street or pub! Parking in the Old Town can be a little scarce in the height of summer but people usually manage to find a spot. The parking is operated by a disc or scratch card which we have provided and details are in the welcome pack. I’d advise walking as much as you can, it’s the quickest and easiest way to get around, plus you don’t lose your parking space! We are 1 minute walk from the beach, 10 minutes from Scarborough town centre, 10-15 minutes from the cricket club, 5 minutes from the castle, 15 minutes from the train station and the SJT theatre. We are also 10-15 minutes from all the North Bay attractions, Peasholm Park and the open air theatre. We are also within easy walking distance of South Bay.
