Sea Haven is our own family run cottage which we bought in 2008 as we love the Northumberland Coast. As a family we have stayed in many cottages and have ensured that our cottage has everything you need to feel like 'home'. We have catered for all ages from free WIFI for those addicted to laptops and smartphones to a range of DVDs to watch while sitting in front of our log Fire (with a glass of wine in hand maybe) to providing a range of games and toys for our smaller guests. Our cottage is centrally located to enable you to leave the car parked and enjoy the fresh air while you visit the local restaurants and pubs to walking along the beach to either Bamburgh or Beadnell or even jumping on the local boats over to the Farne Islands. We offer a range of information on local attractions or im happy to suggest days out. There is so much on offer you will be spoilt for choice. We love Nortumberland and started to come here 20 years ago (1997) when our son was only 6 months old. We purchased a static caravan and every weekend the car would be packed ready to go. When our caravan came to the end of its life we decided to purchase a cottage in Seahouses with a view to letting it out occasionally. It became so successful that we never got to use it ourselves so our second cottage was purchased. Again the same thing happened so number 3 (this cottage was purchased). I'm glad to say that we do get to visit regularly ourselves out of high season.

There are so many things to do on the Northumberland coast. Firstly there is 40 miles of coastline going through lovely villages with quaint coffee shops/public houses to allow you to have lunch before the onward journey to the next attraction. What should it be? Historic castles - to name a few there's Bamburgh Castle, Chillingham Castle and the famous Alnwick Cadtle renowned for the Harry Potter films and the fantastic gardens. Walking - a visit to Craster, where you can park and walk along to Dunstanburgh Castle before returning to enjoy the world famous Craster kippers. A visit to Cragside - Cragside is a country house near the town of Rothbury in Northumberland, England. It was the first house in the world to be lit using hydroelectric power. Farne Islands - The Farne Islands are a group of islands off the coast of Northumberland, England. There are between 15 and 20 islands depending on the state of the tide. You board the local boats at Seahouses. The islands are famous for its bird santuary with a large number of puffins and a seal colony. The Farne Islands are associated with the story of Grace Darling and the wreck of the Forfarshire.
