We liked everything about our stay at Heath Farm. So tranquil, relaxing and a great base for us. A traditional cottage but with high ceilings gave us a feeling of space. Great kitchen full equipped meant preparing food was easy. It was so...

We stayed in Chestnut which had a patio with a view over the pond and a hot tub. Even though the weather was bit chilly we made the most of this outside space. It was very peaceful with only the sound of birds singing (and a vocal pheasant), and...

Heath Farm is set in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds on a heath overlooking the Swere valley. Set in 70 acres of beautiful woodland and meadows with fantastic views, it's a perfect escape from outside world. The 5 cottages were lovingly converted from old stone farm buildings into luxurious accommodation. The level of craftsmanship is one of the hallmarks of this idyllic retreat. English hardwood is used extensively within the cottages and a local blacksmith created many of the fixtures and features. The cottages are very well equipped, cleaned and maintained to exacting standards which reflects in our Gold Award from Visit England. We are strictly pet free accommodation. The cottages are centered around a beautiful courtyard with a stunning water feature. Herbs and flowers adorn the borders. In the spring and summer the only sound you tend to hear is the sound of birdsong and running water. The courtyard also features a stone archway which affords stunning views and is an ideal place to relax in the evening with the chiminea lit. Green Tourism consistently awards us Gold membership for our continued commitment to our environment and sustainable tourism. There's so much to do and see on the farm you may find it hard to leave!
Once an active farmer and butcher I'm now taking life easier with my wife Nena. We love the slow food movement. We grow our own fruit and vegetables and spend much time in our garden and kitchen preparing meals for our family and friends. Much of the summer will be spent mowing the lawns, orchards and avenues and then flying my electric model aircraft with my grandson. the Autumn is spent nut harvesting and selling our home produced Walnuts and Hazelnuts at local farmers markets.
In the middle of nowhere yet on the edge of everything! The Cotswolds is one of the most beautiful areas of England, known and loved by people across the world. Explore quintessentially English villages of honey-coloured stone; take in splendid, lively market towns; visit some of the country’s greatest palaces, castles and country houses; marvel at the natural world in acclaimed reserves and at some of the most famous arboretums in Britain; walk through breath-taking landscapes along historic trails. We are located very close to Great Tew, regarded as one of the most beautiful villages in the UK, with it's famous Falkland Arms pub and the lovely Quince & Clover cafe. There is an abundance of local attractions, places to visit and things to do nearby. Golf courses, horse riding, fishing, motor sports, sports centers and shooting for the active or take a tour of the local Hook Norton Brewery located 4 miles away and within walking distance. There's great cycle and walking routes all around the area. There's a number of great pubs and restaurants within a 7mile radius. Local towns such as Burford and Bicester offer great shopping experiences.
