Keepers Cottage is a lovely detached cottage situated in the village of Backbarrow just one mile from Newby Bridge in the Lake District. The cottage can sleep six in two king-size double bedrooms and one twin all of which are en-suite together with ground floor cloakroom. Also in the cottage is a kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and woodburner. Outside is off road parking for two cars and a private enclosed patio and garden with hot tub, furniture and barbecue. Keepers Cottage has fantastic views and is a lovely base from which to explore this beautiful part of the country. Check in and check out days are Fridays and Mondays , no stag, hen or similar parties.

Neighbourhood information

The small village of Backbarrow sits by the banks of the River Leven and the southern tip of Lake Windermere. The famous Haverthwaite Steam Railway runs close by the village between Haverthwaite and Lakeside. Enjoy magnificent views across Windermere and the surrounding fells, or visit the Aquarium of the Lakes, where the naturally themed habitats bring the history of the Lakes vividly to life.
