We both love living in this area with the New Forest Commons just five minutes walk from the house and two excellent beaches in Calshot and Lepe to walk our dogs just five minutes drive down the road.

Langley House Guest House Langley House is a beautiful 200-year-old Grade II listed building, full of the charm and character you would expect from its Georgian heritage. Set in the heart of the New Forest coast, the house has been lovingly restored to offer comfortable and elegant accommodation while retaining many original features. Guests can choose from six unique rooms, each with its own personality and period character: Elm – A bright, east-facing room with a luxurious super-king blue velvet bed and a cosy settee. It catches the morning sun and the gentle sound of birdsong from the gardens below. Ash – A spacious south-facing family room with a Calshot Castle theme, featuring a four-poster super-king bed and fun castle-style bunk beds for children – perfect for a family of four. Yew – A tranquil, south-westerly facing double room that evokes the feeling of sleeping beneath the forest canopy. Oak – A comfortable double room overlooking the rear patio and garden fountain, ideal for a peaceful retreat. Alder – A charming double room on the first floor offering a calm and cosy atmosphere, perfect for couples or solo travellers. Willow – A lovely double room located on the ground floor, with easy access and a private bathroom situated just down the hallway. There are two shared bathrooms on the first floor, and each room includes its own sink with hot and cold running water, tea and coffee-making facilities, a small refrigerator for milk, water and soft drinks, a hairdryer, and a Smart TV with internet access. A complimentary continental breakfast is provided each morning in the dining room, where guests can help themselves to a selection of cereals, croissants, jams, porridge pots, biscuits, and fresh fruit – the perfect start to a day exploring the New Forest and surrounding coastline.

A plethora of local public houses to choose from and all the water sports facilities you can imagine right at hand to enjoy the southern coastline of the Solent. Locally we are spoilt for choice of entertainments. Hythe marina, Calshot activity centre, Ashlett Creek, Exbury Gardens, Beaulieu River and Motor Museum, Bucklers Hard. You can see the New Forest Ponies, Donkeys and Deer roaming freely across the massive commons. The New Forest offers hundreds of walks and adventures. We are only a short drive away from Lymington, Lyndhurst, Hursts Castle, Christchurch, New Milton and Bournemouth. You can catch a bus from right outside the house which takes just 45 mins straight into Southampton. Why not catch the Hythe Ferry across the water to the West Quays shopping centre or the Red Jet ferry to Cowes on the Isle of Wight. There is the Historic Town of Portsmouth and of course if you want a pre or post cruise stop over we are well situated.
