Lilliput is a brand new, luxury 20ft hand-crafted, shepherds hut built by a local family business.
A truly peaceful getaway where the only interruptions will be the sound of birdsong and the lambs in spring. Set in over 10 acres of glorious Devon countryside and just 15 minutes from Bude and the North Cornwall coast, Lilliput will provide the perfect detox from modern life. A dog friendly, cosy hideaway complete with log burner and internal bathroom. Lilliput us off-grid with solar power for lighting, gas for hot water and cooking and a wood burning stove to keep you warm.
We (Francoise and John) moved to Little Derril in 2021 and live in the main farmhouse, the central part of which dates back to the 17th Century.
We are passionate about creating a peaceful atmosphere to allow guests to relax and unwind. We like to think we are always friendly and helpful, but not intrusive.
Francoise is also a qualified Reflexology practitioner and can offer Reflexology and Indian Head Massage treatments on site.
Derril is a quiet hamlet on the outskirts of the village of Pyworthy.
The historic market town Holsworthy, is just 3 miles away and has a selection of local shops, a Waitrose, a small Co-op, 18 hole golf course, swimming pool, leisure centre, several café, and pubs.
The award winning seaside town of Bude is only 8 miles away offering a sea pool, an array of beaches including Widemouth Bay perfect for surfing and some amazing coastal walks.
A selection of restaurants, shops, cafés, local arts, activities centre and a Friday Market in holiday season will keep you entertained all day.
A vehicle is essential, local taxis are available. There is a very limited bus service from Pyworthy. If you are looking to walk one way along the coastal path we can collect you and take you back to your car for a small fee.
