THE COTTAGE: Have a peaceful, relaxed stay in our rustic Welsh cottage with enclosed garden and lake views. Nestled in the idyllic Radnorshire hills, it is perfect for walkers and cyclists alike. Our delightful cottage is full of period charm, exposed beams, flagstones floors, feature fireplaces, a quirky staircase and interesting objects, with all the thoughtful little extras for your holiday. The porch opens into the cosy lounge, welcoming you with the comfortable sofas, stone inglenook fireplace housing the wood burner, TV and a selection of books. Walk through to the kitchen/diner with the dining table taking centre stage with space for everyone to gather round and enjoy a meal together. The kitchen area is well-equipped with electric oven and induction hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher with all the extra equipment you need to rustle up a meal if you decide to eat in. After dinner, relax in the lounge and plan your activities or watch a film on the TV. Around the corner is the lovely bathroom with large shower and WC, and the double bedroom, designed for a good night’s sleep. Up the rustic wooden staircase to the first floor you will find the further three beautiful bedrooms to choose from, another double bedroom and two twin bedrooms, with exposed beams and lovely views to wake up to. After a full day out, relax in a hot bubble bath. A folding bed for a 9th guest is available upon request. Outside, the house is surrounded by the enclosed garden with lawn, trees and gates to the lane overlooking the pool. This idyllic spot is perfect to unwind and embrace the view or to enjoy a morning coffee or al fresco dining on the picnic benches on the patio. If you are bringing your bikes, there is a shed with storage space and hose to wash them down. There is also off-road parking at the property for four cars. Please note the stairs are quite narrow and steep.

Change-over days are Mondays and Fridays and bookings during school holidays and half term weeks, need to be for full weeks. I live over the field, so can pop round if there is a problem and am available by text or phone.

LOCAL AREA: Be amazed by the rich, rolling green landscapes and glorious mountains of Powys, The largest county in Wales. The showgrounds at Builth Wells, 10 miles away, not only hold the largest agricultural show, but events all year round. The Elan Valley is a must visit as well as feeding the Red Kites at Gigrin Farm, Rhayder. Surrounded by the Radnorshire Hills, it is a lovely area for walking and cycling. There is a pub in walking distance but local towns are 10 miles away. There is a public foot path through the property, where you can stroll down through the fields to the local pub.
