Our Victorian loft style apartment is renovated to a high standard, and we’re right in the heart of Bowness. Enjoy views of Lake Windermere and the Langdales Fells from the living room. Please note: there are two flights of stairs up to our flat. The parking permit is for the car park across the road approximately 50/100 meters away.
Our home is co-hosted. Alison lives locally, and is the main point of contact. Dave and family are the owners, we come and stay ourselves whenever we can.
There are some great walks to take from Bowness itself, with views over Windermere that remind you why the Victorians built this lovely town in this charming spot. It is lively, with lots of great pubs and restaurants, and hosts lots of visitors at peak times of the year. For those wanting to really explore the fells, some of which can be seen from our windows, it’s easy to reach all corners of the majestic Lake District. We offer a free parking permit for one car, which you can use in the car park opposite. The same permit can be used in other car parks in the area. However, please bear in mind that at peak times of the year car parks fill up, and some routes get congested. There is a bus stop a few steps from the flat, and Windermere train station is about 20 minutes walk away.
