Lower Tweedknowe is a stunning Ground floor Victorian villa situated in the ever popular, picturesque town of Melrose. The spacious apartment is bright, airy and has been recently renovated to a high standard, ensuring the combination of modern amenity with traditional features. There is access to a beautiful walled garden at the rear and on street free parking outside the property.
We live in Upper Tweedknowe and are generally available to help you with your stay whilst you are with us, in person or by phone or email. If you need us let us know otherwise we will leave you in peace to enjoy your stay.
Melrose, voted the best town to live in Scotland, is in the heart of the Borders nestled at the foot of the Eildon Hills. This desirable town boasts many popular sights, including Melrose Abbey, Trimontium Museum and the historic Greenyards (the home of Melrose Sevens). Within the beautifully kept town you will discover many independent shops as well as many delicious and highly recommended eateries. Melrose is situated between the Eildon hills and the River Tweed also making this a popular destination for walking, fishing and cycling. Tweedbank station is a 20 minute walk from the property. There are frequent trains in to Edinburgh city centre making all its attractions very accessible. Melrose is well served by public transport, with regular bus services to and from a number of towns in the Scottish Borders. Tweedbank station is a 20 minute walk from the property.
