Meadow Barn is a secluded open plan studio barn conversion, nestled at the edge of a 17th century farm on the border of Devon and Dorset. Its private garden overlooks unspoilt meadows towards the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Set in quintessential English countryside, Bottle Farm is just 5 miles from the Jurassic Coast and the beaches of Lyme Regis and Charmouth.
Hugo and his family have been living at Bottle Farm since 2015, gradually getting the farm ready to welcome guests. Hugo has run catering businesses and worked as a private chef to rockstars and royals for twenty years, while Alice led luxury walking trips around Spain and South America as well as working as a wine merchant. They decided to draw on these experiences and create a wonderful place to raise their children, produce delicious food and welcome guests to the sort of place they love to stay at. They love the outdoors, eating great food and enjoying nature, they love the simple things done exceptionally well and they have travelled all over the world learning how to do that. Their hope is to offer our guests a relaxing experience and share a taste of some of these simple things - exquisite charcuterie from the farm; a glass of English sparkling wine; a long walk between ancient hill forts followed by a dip in the sea.
Bottle Farm is just outside the village of Marshwood, on the border of Devon and Dorset five miles inland from the Jurassic Coast. By car, the farm is three hours from central London, via M3 and A303, or an hour and a half from Bristol via M5 and Chard. The nearest train stations are Crewkerne and Axminster, with services to Exeter and London Waterloo. The nearest airports are Exeter (40 minutes drive away) and Bristol (one hour away).
