Meadow Sweet is a lovely old barn which has been turned into a cosy country cottage, with a snug sitting room, easy to work in kitchen and family dinning room. also down stairs in a wc and a walk in shower. up stairs there is a double bed room and a twin bed room and a bathroom with over bath shower,
I grow up at West Hook our family farm just up the road, and have always loved Meadow sweet and the view of Okehampton and Dartmoor is stunning. it is lovely just to sit under the old Oak trees and just admire the view, or just read a book. and relax.
Meadow Sweet is just one mile out side of Okehampton, which is in the centre of Devon, it is great place to stop over as it is just off Main A30 jet very quite. we are nearly at the top of Hook Hill so have great views of Okehamprton and Dartmoor National Park . around the cottage are fields in which are often sheep, and cattle. and also lots of wild birds, has Abbyford woods is just a field away. this wood is great for walking in or cycling, at the end of the short drive to meadow sweet is the cycle route 27 so perfect if you like to cycle. Okehampton has a good selection of shops , pubs and eating places, as well has a lovely natural park with the Okement river flowing through it. a swimming pool and tennis courts aswell has club bowls .we also have a cosy new cinema which shows all the new firms.
