Millpond Cottage is a beautiful, two bedroom holiday cottage located in the picturesque Holme Valley, in the village of Hinchliffe Mill just outside Holmfirth. Renowned for it’s rich heritage and breathtaking scenery, Holmfirth is a popular holiday location and perfect for anyone looking for an idyllic getaway. Millpond Cottage is a original stone built mill worker's property that can be dated back to the early 1850s and is small but perfectly formed! There are two bedrooms, one double, one single, a bath/shower room and large living area, a log burning stove and a fully equipped kitchen, dining table and chairs. The balcony over the river gives you a great opportunity to sit quietly and watch the local wildlife which include kingfishers and brown trout. It is close to Holmfirth centre (18 minutes walk) and only a few minutes drive from the Peak district. The area is great for walkers, cyclists and people to enjoy the great outdoors. We welcome dogs at this property - with such amazing dog walking country right from the front door it would have been a shame not to!
