We’re a young family who recently moved the the Highlands to build a small homestead and live the good life. We live between Fort Augustus and Edinburgh, letting out our home when we're away. Even if we're not on site, we're always available via phone or video call and have friends in the immediate area who can help in case of emergency.

Enjoy a relaxing stay on our family homestead, set within private woodland. You’ll have the cottage to enjoy (excluding our private office) with views of the mountains, woodland and wildlife. We offer full self-catering facilities, but also like to leave a treat or two. These will vary. ☺️ We live opposite and so are always around to assist and have a chat. Children and relaxed pets are very welcome. We have a climbing frame, 8ft trampoline, and chickens to say hello to.

Fort Augustus is just beautiful. You can follow the canal from the house to Loch Ness. The spectacular mountain views are interrupted only by the canal gates and bridges, and picturesque little cottages each side. It’s really a stunning place. The village boasts 3 pubs, 2 restaurants, a few cafes and gift shops, tourist centre, petrol station, and mini supermarket. There’s also a garage in case your car gets into any trouble. Fort Augustus is conveniently about an hour away from everything! Ben Nevis, Fort William, Skye, and much more. We leave a few maps and guides in the cottage for you. From the cottage you can walk up to the village in 10 minutes, along the main road. Or you can take the scenic route, through the golf course and along the canal, which taking about 15-20 minutes on foot. We do recommend walking during the summer months, are parking is quite hard to come by in the village. We’re not too far off the main road. Here you can turn left to the village and Inverness beyond, or right towards Fort William. We’re very conveniently situated!
